"I'm a self-taught artist working in my home studio in a suburb of Atlanta, GA. I paint intuitively. I don't have a preconceived plan when I start a painting. I love the process of painting. My process is putting down paint and manipulating it by lifting, scrubbing, scratching, stamping and smearing the paint and adding more paint until I like the results. I then set the painting aside for several days and revisit it. It may change drastically, or if I still like the results, not at all.
My inspiration is Nature. I love the play of light and shadows. I may use photos that I've taken as inspiration, but I do not paint from them. My paintings are the simplified images of a place.
I want the viewer to enjoy looking at my work both intellectually and emotionally."
